Project Brief 2 - Master Forger!

Following our two weeks of paper play tasks, we have been given a project brief - this time to create exact copies of three pieces of art work. Each piece was made using a different medium, and or differing surfaces, making it quite challenging. However, I do think that the brief will be helpful and effective in my development as all the materials involved are not within my comfort zone, so it will definitely push and better me. 
         The piece I am most looking forward to replicating is 'Mary', by Eric Robertson. I would say that drawing faces is one of my strengths, so it is the piece I feel most confident with. On the other hand, I think the dip pen drawing will be the greatest challenge. Mervyn Peake put an incredible amount of detail into the image, with an extreme level of precision, utilising small strokes. This will make it much more difficult to get exact when forging the artwork in comparison to the other two. Despite this, I am still looking forward to the task.
